I am a huge baseball fanatic--having played for a long time, so I was very excited to read this instructional book on base running. I am summer league asst. coach and I can see first hand that this book will allow me to explain with more knowledge on the key of sliding, stealing, lead off and the art of understanding why base running knowledge is so essential in the grand scheme of the game of hard ball. The author--coach knows a thing or two, but what I really liked was taking into consideration young players safety--the key element is explaining have fun, run hard and be safe doing it. Example slide into home plate feet first, unless going around the plate. So many young kids want to do a Pete Rose and end up getting hurt just too look the part. Excellent book for all coaches veteran or not, this will help out.… (altro)
