A beautiful, beautiful book. Run, don't walk, to your nearest bookseller or library and grab it. Generous, heart-breaking, sad, joyous and life-affirming. Thank you Archie Roach.

Archie Roach proves in his autobiography that he's just as powerful a prose writer as a lyricist. At times mind-numbingly sad, at others a tale of sheer triumph, Roach's story demands to be read by everyone so they can understand the horror of a system which forcibly separated kids like him from their parents, people they would never get to know.

What an amazing story. Love the song lyrics at the beginning of each chapter. An incredible story told in a straightforward way - despite the challenges and hardships of his life. A celebration of his love for his wife and family and the amazing journey as a song writer and performer. Highly recommended.
