I received a free copy of this book to read & review honestly. And honestly... I wasted the 10 minutes reading it.

This is very short. 16 pages. Of common sense rhetoric.

Granted, the author makes good points. Americans are getting obese simply because it is a matter of convenience. As mentioned in the "book" - it's more convenient to warm up a microwave meal & sit on the couch & eat it while watching TV, than it is to take those same 30 minutes to prepare a nutritious meal. The bottom line for the book is that people aren't respecting themselves / their bodies enough to (1) exercise and (2) eat nutritionally sound meals. (By the way - you now owe me 99 cents, because that is what you would have paid to read this book.) But wait... that's not all.... (said in my best "As Seen On TV" commercial voice): If you just follow the link in the book you will get to the "main event" -- a $37/$47/$57 program for Weight. Loss. Success!!!

I get it. The author is excited about this diet / exercise program she found & is either promoting it for them, or solely for her own gain. Either way, it's a trap. Save your $1 & use it to buy a whistle that you can hang around your neck as a safety feature when you go take a walk in the evening.

A very informative short book on the real reason we fail to lose weight. I believe others would definately benefit from this information.

I relate to everything this author has written because I have been trying with some success the various diets for most of my adult life until I had a life changing loss and basically gave up. This book helped to make me realize that although I might know all the "rules" about food and exercise, I really need to look deeper to understand the underlying reason for giving up, and until I do that I am doomed to failure. It is not a book of diet and exercise plans, simply a short read to point you in the direction of self discovery.… (altro)
