This is likely to be mostly of interest to collectors of books about London - as it was written in 1973 it's unlikely that the descriptions of the (then current) state of the public houses will still be valid. However there is also a good deal of historical material, which of course won't be out of date, and some of the photographs will also be of interest (particularly where the building no longer exists). It should perhaps be made clear that the term "City of London" refers not to the whole city as most people understand it, but to the "square mile" surrounding St. Paul's Cathedral and the Bank of England - so if your interest is in pubs in Hammersmith or Paddington, you won't find them here.… (altro)
