The author of this little book invited me, as an Evangelical theologian, to contribute some prefatory remarks. I was pleased to accept, since it is gratifying that such a book on the angels has been written, one that should appeal to Evangelical readers as well as to the author's Catholic audience. Nothing in the text is inconsistent either with biblical teaching or, on the whole, with Evangelical understanding. Included among the prayers at the end are some of Evangelical origin, and for this we are particularly grateful, regarding it as a sing of ecumenical fellowship.
