Blah. Too many problems with the plot and with the female protagonist. She was too fickle for me.

Did anyone actually enjoy this book? Vapid, empty characters, an out of control plot, and so many spelling and grammar errors that should have been caught. What was up with those last few chapters? Authors dropped ridiculous bomb after bomb, but none of them were at all believable. A very poorly written, poorly planned work. Terrible.

I agree with the reviewers who state this book suffered from too much plot. The story and witch origins was so interesting, I just wished the author would have chosen two of the plot lines and flushed those out rather than adding layers. I feel like these things could have been alluded to in the first book and then flushed out later to give a sharp first novel with interesting twist for books 2 & 3.

I'm very torn when it comes to reviewing this book. On the one hand, I completely agree with the reviewers that state this novella could have been easily flushed out into a full novel by filling in the scenes a bit more. However, I do feel like the writing has grown a lot from the first book and that the trilogy has finally found it's focus.
