Imagine if an Evolian Militia put out a primer. What you would get would be very similar to "A Handbook of Traditional Living." This short (80pp) book is comprised of two smaller books. The first is a topical explanation of Evola's form of Tradition. If you are already familiar with Evola, this will be a bit redundant. However, certain portions shine. I especially liked the section on Initiation and the Symbolism of the Sun.

The second portion is on "practice." Since they are militants, they are focused on Evola's "Revolt Against the Modern World" rather than his later "Men Among the Ruins" work. They turn to Codreanu to flesh out the organization for their work. Elements were wonderful. Others I found incompatible with both my understanding of the Evolian worldview and as a Thelemite. The repeated calls for reliance on faith, self-sacrifice, and the renunciation of selfishness seemed to close to the destruction of the self within the Cthonic anti-traditional current that Evola warns against.

All in all, a good book that can serve as an introductory text to the principles of Tradition.
