This is a most wonderful read aloud book, but some of the nonsense animals names are tricky. I would recommend lots of practice!

I really did not like this book because it did not really make sense to me. The writer does have a great imagination, but I would not recommend this book to someone.

Very silly, Dr. Seuss-like. A boy deals with creatures we've never heard of and decides that not dealing with them might be enough for him to leave his home.

A beautiful artists book about animals I've never heard of. The protagonist of this story is a boy who wants to have leisure time and every time he does one thing, an unknown animal comes and along the way ruins it for him. ?Very good book for Pre-K and kinder-garden. The pictures are nice but the animals are nonexistent. Made me laugh at some parts.

This is a pleasant book with charming illustrations which tells the tale of a little boy and his unusual companions. The book’s images are very interesting and are fun to look at. The story is equally inviting. The story is not too scary for younger children and should have them asking questions about what kind of things live near them.

A small boy sets out to enjoy a picnic in a splendid spot, but when he turns his back a Sneep runs off with his entire lunch! Using a series of questions the boy introduces the reader to a cast of pesky creatures, from the bothersome Snook to the long-armed Knoo. After each question he’s surprised to learn that the reader has never been surprised by a springing Floon or landed in a swimming Grullock’s throat. He considers these facts seriously and then packs his bags because he's coming to live with you!

The illustrations set the whimsical creatures in a misty forest-like environment. I like that the creatures are unique and imaginative, but never scary or malevolent.

The rhyming text speaks directly to the reader and is presented almost entirely in the form of questions, making this a fun read aloud for storytime. The short, humorous text works well as a stand alone poem and can be read to kids without the pictures.

The illustrations are dreamy, but this book is basically a one-liner stretched into an entire children's picture book, so, wow. Whoever snagged this book deal must've seen more than a sneep.
