Another great book by Felicity Price, Stephanie is a high flying PR expert, called in to work for a West Coast logging company which is threatened by protestors. One of these 'greenies' is her estranged sister Miriam. Woven into this story of recrimination and, finally, reunion, is the sisters' shared history of their grandparents who lived in the harsh mining towns of Denniston and Burnett's Face.

Set in Napa Valley USA and Hope, near Nelson NZ, this book about wine growers and a PR person, Alex, who helps spin doctor new developments in their area. Alex travels to New Zealand to work for a wine grower in the Nelson area and eventually after a life of meeting the wrong men, finally meets Mr Right. Woven in to the story is a historical tale from the NZ 1860's and also the iconic World of Wearable Art show. Great book, wanting to read others of this author.

A fairly run of the mill plot - after many years of marriage the husband suddenly leaves the family home for a younger woman leaving behind a confused and angry wife and two teenage children. After the predictable revenge taking, a child acting out, a child wanting to live with the father and new girlfriend, some growing and eventually acceptance of her newly shaped life Penny discovers a lump. As you can probably already imagine the predictable storyline continues.

This book has a completely different ending from the usual everyone living in harmony and happily ever after with a new partner which is a nice change. Overall an average easy going read.… (altro)
