This book takes place on Vienna's main retail food market and tells the story of how the young rat poet Macchiato meets and befriends a Tarsier who has escaped from its owner (who had bought the endangered animal illegally). It's not just their adventures, but also the author's wonderful descriptions that make this book so much fun.

Fun for both children and adults. I'm currently reading it to a third grade class, and they love it, too.
