M.C. Poinsot

A strikingly bizarre book dedicated to pseudoscience and magic headlined with an introduction by a man who feels he must tell you it's all absolutely true twice a page for 31 pages. Needless to say, it's captured my heart as a novelty and a great way to peer into the occult underground of early 20th century America. It's fine as a magical guide if you don't take it too seriously, remain aware that it's likely ransacked with historical inaccuracies, and outright trash the section on physiognomony. Otherwise, it's just nice little toy to see on your shelf and thumb through out of curiosity. 3/5 for being an awful resource but great novelty. I recommend it.… (altro)
