- Breve biografia
- June Platt (Mrs. Joseph B. Platt) was born in Springfield, Illinois, and educated in twenty-six schools in England, France, and the United States. She attended cooking school and art school, beginning her professional career as an artist. In the early thirties she began writing monthly food articles for House and Garden, and after 1942 wrote intermittently, devoting her major efforts to her full-time occupation as a designer of wallpaper, rugs, and other home decorations. Mrs. Platt's books include June Platt's Party Cook Book, June Platt's Plain and Fancy Cook Book, June Platt's Dessert Cook Book, Serve It and Sing, and The Best I Ever Ate, the last co-authored with Sophie Kerr. She also tested recipes for the antique cookbooks section of Margaret Rudkin's Pepperidge Farm Cookbook. She lived in New York City and spent many summers in Little Compton, Rhode Island. She was the mother of two sons.
