This is a wise, concise and very readable book which describes the author's experiences in dealing with life's milestones. He offers comfort and guidance from the perspective of those who do not rely upon a supernatural God. Many personal examples are very helpful.

Everyone goes through life-changing events during their lives. Informed by science and many of the world’s religious traditions, the author reflects upon several such events--often from a very personal perspective--that he has experienced within his own life: changes in health, entering a new situation in life, birth and death. I found his reflections to be very useful in complementing my own feeble attempts to be more mindful of changes in my own life. I believe many can find this short book to be a useful tool in contemplating the spiritual nature of the changes that they have also experienced, changes that can be transformative in character.… (altro)
