Cecilia Peartree

Very English humor and language, much of which I found difficult to assimilate. I didn't care for the characters and could not make a connection with them.. I forced myself to finish the book.

Very entertaining with a complex plot and a sympathetic central character. Christopher's bewilderment at the world around him and the depth he suddenly finds in people he had regarded superficially is very funny.

The mad, lovely mixture as before, with added alpacas. Great fun with characters you care about.
