Useful to reference when you're having an issue
It will keep you from common 'solutions' that just don't work. I wish it provided sure fire solutions that do work..it's very practical though, which is better than sending you down a path to frustration.

I heard the author speak about the topic of this book at a gardening event. His presentation emphasized common sense and research as he proceeded to debunk a fair number of commonly disseminated myths like The Many Uses Of Epsom Salts. I was amazed at how many often-repeated hints were simply not true and will be even less likely in future to believe information just because it looks good on Pinterest!
