Louis Osteen (1941–2019)

William Louis Osteen was born in Anderson, South Carolina on September 17, 1941. His first job was working the concessions at one of his father's drive-in movie theaters. He managed theaters in Atlanta in the 1960s, but in the 1970s, he went to work in the kitchen of a French restaurant in Atlanta. mostra altro He educated himself in the traditions of Southern cooking and went on to open several South Carolina restaurants, which helped elevate Southern cuisine to a new respectability.
