This movie has no business being as entertaining as it is. Everything about script and the music and the entire production is mediocre - except for Doris Day, who is clearly having a blast.

Classic pulp-inspired art direction, and near-perfect scientific accuracy (I mean, seriously - you don't get this level of good science on film outside of a documentary). Who'd have thought you could have both in one movie?
