I loved it! As always, when it comes to the Autumn Rain series.

A thought provoking story about Bill, who's wife tragically died and who has been trying to forget his past and Kylee - a blast from the past. What I don't get is the cover. That being said, it held me back from totally enjoying this book as I kept thinking to myself - what does the cover signify or mean. Of course, it is completely predictable but, has pretty good character development and a story line that does leave you thinking about what you would do. The end was slightly rushed (could be I just wanted the book to go on a little more).

I really loved this book. So many wonderfully honest and heartbreaking moments. A story of family, friendship, regret, love and faith. I couldn't put it down and will tell you to be prepared to shed some tears. Thank you Rachel Ann for restoring my faith in the power of a loving community.

This Very Moment is an easy, relaxed read with strong religious overtones. It is an inspirational story with likeable characters struggling to cope with the difficult realities of grief and lost love. It speaks to the heart about hope, love, and new beginnings.

This book was just luke warm, althought it does have a slight crescendo of suspense at the end. A story of a sweet love that unfolds into a predictable, but satisfying conclusion. I just wasn't able to stay engaged with the characters and the story, skimming through some of the chapters. My rating is 2.5 stars.

"A Greater Love' is a very touching story at the

This is a touching, bittersweet tale of a couple,
who after several years of marriage are childless
- one by choice, the other because of the spouse's choice.
It causes a major problem in their marriage.
This is also a story about two young children, orphaned
through the death of their parents and given to an alcoholic
aunt to raise.
So many different status's in life, with so much prejudice.
The story portrays the emotional and physical difficulties
different people experience in the separate "walks" of life.
Each have their own challenges and sufferings.
What an inspirational tale of survival, suffering, acceptance,
and love. It also offers a message of forgiveness and humility.
The story spans several months but it is at Christmastime and
New Years it concludes.
This would be a wonderful story to share with the whole family.
It is predictable but wonderfully so.

Autumn Rain, who found her twin sister in the previous book, has the ability to get images from items held by those using them previously. She has helped solve a missing child case, and now she is asked to help locate a woman, Victoria. The images lead her to a cult group, and her "help" Ethan is attractive, but what are his motives? What about Jake, is he really always going to be "just a friend?" And that pesky Detective Shannon is attractive, but annoying. Lots of little twists, and some interesting characters in this sequel to "Eyes of a Stranger".

I have read many books by Rachel Ann Nunes. In fact, as I skim her list of novels, there aren’t many I haven’t read. I like her style, I enjoy her ability to tell a good story, and I like that she can do it in a clean and dignified manner.

“Imprints“, her latest paperback comes after the book “Eyes of a Stranger.” As I might have mentioned, I am a sucker for a series. When I take the time to get to know characters, I like to follow them as long as I can.

This latest book tells the story of Autumn Rain, the sister of Tawnia who was featured in Eyes of a Stranger. Autumn is Tawnia’s twin with an amazing gift…something verging on the supernatural. Through her efforts to help others she is thrown into a series of events full of mystery and intrigue. (Wow that sounded trite, but true, oh so true.)

Tawnia’s character was developed in the last book, so Imprints really focuses on getting to know Autumn. Nunes has a gift for getting the reader inside her character’s heads, and Autumn is no exception. We learn about her past, feel a connection to the losses she has faced and understand her need to get involved in the story line.

Imprints is a hard book to review without giving too much away. While it is very possible to read it without the back story, as it is a stand alone novel, I wonder if the experience would be as deep. Knowing the details of Autumn and Tawnia’s life helps set the stage for the mystery we see here.

Autumn has the ability to “see” events in the past based on emotional imprints she finds in objects. Because of this gift she finds herself reading objects to help people find loved ones. One such object leads her on a trip to find more answers. Along the way she discovers a lot about the people she thought she knew.

As in any good mystery, there are plenty of misdirects, a few romantic moments and even a little vacation from reality. ( I mean really, who can do all of this without the help of the police??) Imprints is a fun read. It is not rocket science, but few of us expect it be. Nunes has once again delivered a solid story with well defined characters and a believable plot.

Now my only question is this, do we get a follow up? I want to know more about Autumn and Tawnia. I am not quite ready to let their story go…
