Nowak's life-long love affair with cars is fascinatingly reflected throughout the book as he reminisces about many of his favorite cars in much the same way another man might talk of women ... What really worked for me in Forty Cars, though, was Nowak's style. His self-effacing sense of humor and fun - his joy in cars - comes through in every chapter, whether he is extolling the virtues of a Jaguar XJC, or bemoaning the inadequate headroom in a briefly-owned Corvette. This is just plain good writing, and this guy is funny! Whether you love cars or just love a well-told story, you'll like this book.… (altro)
