Shocking and disturbing from very early on and would love to give it one or two stars because I disliked the content and the narrator but if I'm scoring the author on her writing ability, then is well written and imaginative so I gave it three stars, it is fiction after all.

This was a completely disturbing book... I didn't really read the precis so as I began the book, and as a mother of 4, i was vaguely sympathetic - sleep deprived, trying to juggle everything, feeling a bit resentful of having to time to myself, no privacy etc etc as I read however I could feel the chill, that something was off, and then the horror dawned. I read this book the entire way through - couldn't put it down. I have no idea is she was truly narcisstic/psychotic or in the grip of post natal psychosis but either way a truly disturbing character. Do not read this if you have children under 2 or are pregnant - you will scare yourself silly. I hate to sound supercilious but I think motherhood might be a prerequisite for reading this book to get into the character at the beginning, its that recognition and sympathy that makes the book so provoking and gripping and chilling. I hated the ending though - thought it was lame.… (altro)

I finished this book in one day, it was so thrilling and so full of suspense that I couldn't put it down!

I was actually a little afraid to read it. This is every mother's worst fear... being driven to do the unimaginable. I liked how the language is simple and straightforward, and though I found the topic rather taboo and terrifying, it was a good read.

This is a fairly short read, told by an unnamed narrator. She is married with two very small children, and is clearly finding it hard to cope. As the story progresses, we alone are privy to all her inner thoughts about her situation, and more importantly, about her children.

I found myself shocked on a couple of occasions by the turn of the story. It's a pretty shocking subject, but Camilla Noli has written a real page-turner of a read. If you can handle the storyline then give it a go.
