Dina Ranger is a psychic, but not just a “let’s find your dog” sort. She has true powers, can make people do things she wants them to do- essentially she’s bad ass.

When she discovers that her twin brother is suddenly the head of a government agency designed to track psychics like her, she joins forces, hopefully for the good of mankind.

Then, she meets Liam and falls for him like oil on a hot stone. They sizzle.

I don’t want to give away the ending, but let’s just say there is a final showdown between the good psychics and the bad psychics and the tension leading up to the event really makes your heart beat fast. I’d recommend this to anyone who loves sci-fi romance.

Hard core thriller with a tough female killer-for-hire as the lead character. This one is really not what I consider fast-paced however there is plenty of action as the lead moves from one victim to another. I appreciate the way the author handled the love affair by NOT making it mushy or going into the details of the sexual encounters. The conversations with the killer's handler and his daughter were repetitive and became tedious, but those parts are easy to skim over. The ending demands a sequel and I look forward to reading it. Recommend for thriller readers.… (altro)

Lucky’s Charm by Jenn Nixon is a contemporary, interracial romance with an attention grabbing plot and extraordinary characters. I liked that I couldn’t figure out the plot, because a story with an unpredictable plot will hold my attention. Lucky’s Charm did that and then some. Both Lucky and Kenji are from multi-ethnicities and while their differences may be a problem for others, they embrace their differences. In fact, their line of work seems more problematic; both are hired assassins who meet on assignment. Their job is filled with difficulty and at any time one of them could get hurt or killed. I found the story engaging. It reads fast and does not have any slow points. The chemistry between Felicia and Kenji is apparent and it was great they find love despite their unusual and dangerous profession. The novel ends on a high note, which clearly indicates there is more to come. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Lucky and Kenji’s story.

Felicia Fascino a.k.a. Lucky finds herself filling her father’s shoes as an assassin when an attempt on his life leaves her mother dead and her family forever destroyed. She did not intend to choose this life but it was the only way she could avenge her parents. Aside from her uncle and cousin, who are teammates, no one knows Lucky’s true identity. She leads a very reclusive life until she meets another assassin, Kenji Zinn, on assignment. Their connection is instant and while Kenji is willing to explore what they feel, Lucky is very reluctant to get involved. However, the pull is too strong to resist and they embark on a rather unusual relationship, getting together between jobs and trying to forge a relationship based on trust in a world where deception and lies are necessary to stay alive.
