Bridgett Nelson

In just 3 short stories, Bridgett Nelson proves she belongs in the upper realms of authors in the splatterpunk/horror genre. This is my first forray into her work and it won't be the last. 'Getaway' tells the classic home invasion story with a twist at the end you don't see coming. 'Scars' makes you weary of ever entering into the "Comment on Facebook to get your name in my next book" prize. I've seen so many of these giveaways in groups that you start wondering what writers truly feel about their readers. (LOL. I kid). 'Belong' finishes off the book with a friendship (from birth) gone seriously bad. All 3 of these stories are very well written and the book is a quick read. As much as I enjoyed the short stories, I'd still love to see Bridgett show her true potential in a full novel sometime in the near future.… (altro)
