This was a short crime mystery as introduction to characters in books to come. It was an enjoyable light read with odd interpersonal observations and somewhat quirky English.

This was a good story. The pace was affected by interpersonal silliness. The writing was odd English or sloppily edited. After getting used to this, I enjoyed the switched words, missing or unusual pronouns and slightly off idioms. I received this as a LibraryThing Member GiveAway. Thank you.

This short send-up of murder in a village was highly entertaining. The characters amplified diverse traits you might find in a village. The portrayal of people and their behaviour seemed too brash at time of reading but, after the resolution of whodunit, this feeling faded away leaving me a satisfied reader.
