NCLA Review -In Thirsty, Amy Nappa uses the Biblical account of the Samaritan Woman at the Well in John 4:4-49 to comment on the relationship between mankind and Jesus Christ. Each chapter begins with a few verses of the scripture and is subdivided into sections headed with eternal truths. Using examples from her life, her friends, and her reading, the author connects the reader and the woman at the well by making her a living, breathing person. The strength of this book is that readers begin to find parallel examples in their own lives while engaged in the numerous stories Ms. Nappa weaves and intersects with the Samaritan woman, making it an excellent book for group discussion. The book is aimed at women. Discussion questions for each chapter, further scripture references, and a short biography are included.
