Thandiwe Mpofu

I thought book one took my breath away but this one completely stole my heart away!!! We pick up where book one left off and we have Mia that is on the run trying to figure out her life and why everything around her feels like it is collapsing. She doesn’t know who she can trust, who is on her side, and who is out to get her. She fell hard and fast for Julian, but now she doesn’t believe he felt the same and she can’t trust her feelings for him now. Julian knows he messed up; he knows it is going to take a miracle to find Mia let alone reach her to let her know how he truly feels about her. There are so many truths, lies, and secrets that come out and had me wanting to know more. We have new and old villains that appear, but in the end the guys are there for Mia even if at times they don’t communicate too well. Julian absolutely loves Mia, but I was hurt how he was towards the end and now I know in the next book he is going to be either a wreck or a man set out for vengeance. I am slowly dying because it does end in a cliffhanger, but I can’t wait to find out how their story will go. This book stole my heart, soul, and breath and I will try to patiently wait for more although I am now super greedy for more of Julian.

When I was first introduced to The Incongruity trilogy by the author herself, I became immediately immersed by the concept and the characters I knew were going to blow me away. It became too much of an addicting read thus concluded that the author definitely delivered. From page one, Chloe and Gideon are brought together by their mutual hatred towards Stefan Demetri, the very man who took the lives most important to them. With a plan of action set in motion to seek revenge, the bubbling attraction between vengeful leads is hard to ignore. Needless to say I'm left wanting more and I can't wait to dive into the second installment of this series after the epic cliffhanger the romantic suspense novel ended on.

"A Billion Broken Pieces" starts off with the continuation of the previous cliffhanger for the first installment and ding ding! We have ourselves a winner! As any reader would know sometimes with any series, the second installment could be either a hit or miss and luckily this was a definite a hit! The romance and suspense had me sitting on the edge of my seat and to make it even better, the author introduced a bigger, badder villain than the last, Caleb, who is doing everything possible to get his hands on the lead heroine and to seek his very own personal revenge. With how this storyline was progressing, it was hard to put one this down and once again, the author impressed me with the plot and the characters oozing chemistry that is felt though the pages.

The Incongruity Series from beginning to the end was a whirlwind romantic suspense novel that nearly left me speechless. The author was able to delivered with the final installment and was able to perfectly executed the ending to meet everyone needs. This is the perfect blend of drama, tragedy, betrayal and non-stop excitement for any reader looking for a story that isn't about love and all that mushy stuff. "Billion Dollar Hearts" was a great ending for this phenomenal series and I loved how Chloe and Gideon story closed out. Thandiwe Mpofu is an author to watch out for and I can't wait to see her take on Sam/Max and Alice/Peter saga.
