Recommended to me by the author's niece. Fascinating read of Morgan's time with the French Maquis during WWII.
I Googled the author to find out if there was any more information about him. Indeed there was: He stayed in the spy/saboteur business as a CIA lifer, specializing in the task that brought him into the OSS in the first place -- psychological evaluation of candidate agents. After retirement, he was a central figure in the cause celebre custody battle between his daughter Elizabeth and her ex-husband, Dr. Eric Foretich. It was Morgan who used his skills and contacts to smuggle the children to New Zealand, while his daughter spent more than two years in jail for refusing to say where they were.
