Jonathan Miller's book, Rattlesnake & Son, was an enjoyable read. It was a fast-paced book with plenty of surprises. I liked the blend of reality and fantasy. I will look forward to reading the next Rattlesnake Lawyer book.

I received this book from LibraryThing Early Reviews for an honest review.

This is my first Rattlesnake Lawyer book and to be honest I took me about half of the book to get into it. I think the writing just took some getting used to and a lot of the plot just seemed impossible to me. I wasn't sure if the author meant for this to be that way or not but I struggled to make sense of everything that was happening because it was so far fetched. I did not like the ending at all. Maybe if there is another book after this one there will be more explanation, but this book left many things unanswered, and unfinished. The descriptions of New Mexico were very well done and it made me want to visit the places that were talked about. All in all, I would probably read another book in this series if I knew I would be some answers.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book and provide a review.

This is my first Rattlesnake Lawyer book and I loved it.

Dan Shepard is called to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico to represent a boy on shoplifting charges. He comes face to face with his ex wife and son whom he hasn't seen since he was 2 years old. From there Dan and Marley begin a journey to reconnect as father and son. But when something goes wrong at Marleys school can Dan save him.

This is a fast paced book with a twist in the middle that at first had me confused but in the end really needed to be there. Since I live in the Texas Panhandle I know and have been to these places in New Mexico so that made it a fun read. I received this from LibraryThing Early Reviewers for an honest review and I can say this book is worth it.… (altro)

This book is, in a word, weird. I won't try to explain the plot, as it's too convoluted, and a bit disjointed, to do so. I have mixed feelings about this book. I found parts of it to be engrossing, and other parts of it to be almost stultifyingly boring. I give the author a nod for creativity and originality. The story is unique in many ways. But, I don't recommend it. The interesting and well-written parts are not enough to redeem what to me was a wandering, incomplete and shallow plot.
