Casey Riordan Millard

Casey Riordan Millard's Shark Girl and Belly Button features five short stories including the artist/author's two characters as they deal with thank you notes, paper dolls, parties, playgrounds, and the inherent cost of the items we hold dear. Millard's art is positively delightful while her stories feature a delightfully ironic undertone as they simultaneously revel in their own absurdity. As characters, Shark Girl and Belly Button are wonderful and I can only hope a second book follows this work. This is the rare children's book that adults will enjoy reading, and not just to kids.… (altro)
