This book is based on the author’s life and starts right out the gate with subject matter that can trigger those who have gone through abuse, neglect, and drug use. (I’d recommend a warning for those who have these types of triggers.) My heart truly went out to the author as I read the book, knowing that this was her life story. However, the story was slow for me, and I had to work to read it all the way through, struggling all the way. I feel that with someone to help the writer and some more experience, this author can better get her story out there to motivate and help others to overcome these types of issues. Sadly, the book left me feeling flat.… (altro)
