A workbook filled with fairly fun activities for little ones on the path to reading and writing.

There are plenty of colorful pictures of Pooh and his friends. Disney must have some huge library of clip art that it licenses out to publishers, because I recognize a lot of these illustrations from other coloring and activity books in our Pooh collection. Actually, since this is a collection of six little workbooks, many of the images actually repeat within this book, getting used for colors in one section and letter recognition in another.

FOR REFERENCE:

Collection of six I Can Learn with Pooh Early Skills workbooks:

• Colors
• Shapes and Sizes
• Numbers and Counting
• Letter Recognition and Writing
• Letters Of The Alphabet
• Beginning Sounds

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

This book has like 1,000,000 jobs in it and a lot of information about each one. Education, outlook, income, etc.

People who need to brainstorm about what career they want to go into could utilize this book, and since there's a lot of information about each job, people who know what they want to do and are just looking for more information about it could use this. However it was published in 2009 so it might be dated.

The word Republic does not appear in the volume nor is it explained anywhere. The discrimination, and gay rights portions are disproportional to the brief, 6 pages, on the freedom of religion. The biases of the volume are abundant and obvious. The text promotes democracy to the detriment of the American, constitutional, Republic. In its stead, it places international, United Nations, and leftist bias in a prominent position.

Among the radical groups who contributed to the volume are the:

"Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation)," p. xix.

George Soros - http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=977
Angela Davis was awarded a Soros Senior Justice Fellowship in 2003.

Comprehensive but old and probably superseded by Internet sources for definitions.

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong, emerged from the Apollo 11 lunar module, and placed humankind's first step upon the moon. This work compiles the history and technical accomplishments required for that enterprise. A 1969 update is inserted to cover the Apollo and Soyuz missions that year. Covers rocketry, satellites, space navigation, biodynamics, astrophysics, and space exploration.

I really like this book. It has lots of good examples of resumes for various employment positions and also gives you lists of words to use in your resume to help you build a strong one. Also includes decent cover letters to use.

I don`t like the presentation of this book at all. It seems to be a (cheap) printout of a computer program. The printout is greyscaled (while I guess that the original presentation in the program is colored). Something I will not like to look through very often. The book is sloppily edited - while some abbreviations, for example, are explained, as a German user/reader I could not find out what the letters "ea" stand for. A disappointment!

In Journalism Today, Ferguson, Patten and Bradley give you any information one could want on journalism. They explore all different subjects of journalism from the history of journalism or how to be a great copy editor. They cover how to be an effective journalist in today’s world of technology and give information on the changes that journalism faces today.

I've just started using this reader, but I've enjoyed it a great deal. Though my understanding of the Russian language is at the lowest level, I get a sense of accomplishment from reading this book. All the words are accented.
