I'm horribly disorganised and had failed to order *The Chalet School Encyclpaedia* so was relieved and delighted that, last December, Father Christmas kindly delivered the three (of four) volumes to date.

This is a real labour of love and will, surely, appeal to all Chaletians. With entries for all our old school friends - of various species;-) - it's been a lovely stress-relieving browse over the past year.

Published by Girls Gone By (disclaimer - I have no connections with them) it - like their other factual titles - is very generously illustrated with many original pictures from the series, as well as photos of real places connected to Elinor Brent-Dyer and her books.

The work that must have gone into this is awe-inspiring and it's been wonderful to sink into it and be transported back to Chaletland. Lovely book.… (altro)
