Here is a perfect example of the crayonla curricuum book. Short, fun activities to keep kids occupied with doubtful academic results. Yes, kids need a break; yes, they need fun activitie, but the activities need to extend and fit into a larger picture. Such a purpose is not difficult to construct but that is not a part of this book. Most activities would be appropriate for after school projects and could easily be done by volunteers. Perhaps that is the best use of such a collection of ideas. We lable such collections as “quickies” with little presparation necessary but you will need a supply budget for paper, markders, and whatever else is called for. Give this book to volunteers or even parents but teacher librarians can certainly create ideas better than these that have a purpose. Not recommended.… (altro)
