Clever premise, apparently based on a book of the bible not accepted by the orthodox called the Book of Enoch (?). But it definitely could have used better editing, since the pacing was very slow in the beginning, and the fun stuff was jammed into the very end.

As others have noted, very poor editing in this book. I did read it to the end though - the principal characters were fairly weak and the story wanders a bit, when it's not bogged down in a semi-comatose state. It's not the worst book I've ever read, and definitely not the best, but it does have some interesting concepts - I was just hoping for more. Alas it seems most contemporary novels I've recently read pale to the "classics" - but perhaps I've become jaded.

I just couldn't get into this one at all. I tried, I really did, but nothing held my interest. I think the premise was interesting and had potential, but this book just did not follow through. Can't say I would recommend this at all. The cover art however, is beautiful. I would love to see a larger print of this artwork.

Book not great, art fantastic.

An interesting twist on the Angel and Demon mythos. Overall a good rate, but a little slow at times, Ethan's struggles and its eventual outcome was slightly formaliac, and the ending a bit rushed.
