This book was sent to me by the author and this is my honest, unbiased opinion.

I don't normally read paranormal books, even though I probably wouldn't class this book as one entirely, I was really intrigued by the blurb for this book and I found it a good read with drama and emotion. It took me a little while to get into the rhythm of it(maybe because I haven't read a book like this before), but I found the second half of the book flowed well and I was able to get into the characters emotions. It had romance, angst and a twist that caught me by surprise.… (altro)

This is the third and final instalment in the Silver Oaks Series and follows mainly Arie's story, but we are treated to Palmer's story in detail as well. I really like Kate's writing and was eagerly looking forward to this book.

Arie is such a strong, sassy, snarky character and I loved her quick-wittedness and interactions with the other characters. She was so careful about who she let into her life and even then she didn't show her friends everything. She had had a lot of heartache to deal with over the years and it had hardened her resolve not to get hurt, not realising that shutting herself off wasn't fulfilling her either. Her life as a stunt woman was face-paced and full of action just like her personality. She took no prisoners and it took a equally strong personality in Cole to forge a relationship with her.
"Everyone has baggage Arie. There are things that have happened in my past that have shaped who I am today. You either decide to let those things define you and who you are or you learn to control them."

Cole has had his own share of heartache and can understand Arie's position more than she realises. They both complimented each other I thought, and I really loved their banter.
"Say that you need me."
"I don't need you. Maybe like a skin needs a rash...."

Actually, I loved the banter between all the characters throughout this book. The secondary characters all had their part to play and I connected with all of them. They each had their own unique personalities and we saw just enough of their lives to keep the characters connected. In particular, I am so glad that we got to see Palmer's story as well. It was great to see the development of her character and how it intertwined with Arie's. The way their relationship matured was emotional and well written.

Throughout this book, as with the first two books, there are twists and turns, intriguing you till the end; heart stopping, emotional, tear jerking scenes;steamy love scenes, tender moments and blossoming relationships; situations crossing over into each parallel reality and back again which kept me turning the pages. Only on a few occasions did I feel it moving too quickly from one moment to the next, where I would have liked a softer transition, but overall I found the two realities easy to follow. The epilogue was a perfect end to this series and I am happy to see a spin-off series with Brock as the lead coming soon. It will definitely be on my tbr list.

I read Worlds apart on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm so glad I did. Firstly, this isn't your average paranormal romance. It's much more.
Secondly, it's unique on so many levels. Without giving too much away Piper Reynolds meets her double Pip by accident one day. At first she believes she's seeing things and going crazy, before she realises that Pip indeed is real. She's just from an alternate universe, one in which not everyone acts the same as they do in her Universe. Every choice they make makes their realities differently.

Piper and Pip discover they can jump into one another's world, which in turn saves Pip from falling victim to a stalker among other things. Their lives are intertwined in so many levels but in different ways.

I really enjoyed this novel. It stood out from other romances because it was so unique and different. To be honest, it was a refreshing change from the steamy sex scenes and rampant hormonal novels out there. The story was quite sweet.

That's not the only reason it's unique. Most romances end with a happy ending, this doesn't really. It touches your heart and doesn't let go as one of the characters you grow to love has a tragic ending.

We also get a glimpse of what we can expect in book two as we discover that Piper's son is also a jumper.

Worth reading if you want something different and a book with a paranormal twist.
