After reading the Kindle version of WRITE, PUBLISH, PROMOTE: How to write a best seller, self-publish, and then keep selling it ...*, I thought it was so useful, I just ordered a print copy to have as a reference as I write my book. Debrah Martin packed this informative book full of tips and resources to help budding writers get books published and sold. If you are a writer, especially if you are looking to self-publish, I would certainly recommend this book. Read more… (altro)

I am not sure how I felt about this book. It was confusing for me in many places and then I would be dragged into the story and wouldn’t want to put the book down. I really enjoyed the ending to the story and I want to read the next book to see how this keeps going. I wish it hadn’t been quite so confusing for me especially through the middle of the book. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

This book started off well, with Lily being funny and advising her mom about internet dating. The writing style is manic and rushed, and very hard to follow. I did enjoy the "Ubik", focusing on the things that aren't really noticed at first. Overall this book just didn't click with me.

I was given a free copy for an honest review.

There are not many books out there that can really move a reader and leave them changed by the time they reach the end, but Chained Melodies is one of those books. The story of Will and Tom, this novel had an extraordinarily difficult balance to strike in exploring characters in a realistic world without creating stereotypical caricatures that were employed simply to make a point, but it seems to manage it with apparent ease.
With no sign of a stereotype, caricature or plot device to act as a vehicle of change or podium, this book is a very genuine portrayal of what life can throw at a friendship and at the individual and how the world can shape the people within it. The characters are thoroughly believable as is the world that is crafted around them, which makes this book something that is really enjoyable and very easy to read.
Chaos plays a vital role in this book, life throwing the characters into emotional turmoil as the world around them is also enveloped in it. It seems that neither Tom nor Will can ever find any peace as everything about them is in disarray, but there is a grounding force that promises to hold the sanity of them both together – their friendship.
The writing style of this book is wonderful, using a first person perspective that draws in the reader and gives them a first-hand insight into the pain and joy that both Tom and Will experience as this book unfolds. A truly spectacular tale that is as beautiful and moving as any story you would expect to read about the human spirit, a book that I would highly recommend.
