Castle Marian

The Golden Fury is a very readable, albeit flawed, story about one woman's struggles to make a life for herself in the Colorado mountain mining rushes of the late 1800's. The strong-willed and capable main character Caroline reminded me a bit of Scarlett O'Hara. She can manage businesses in a man-dominated world, but makes poorer choices in her personal life...

The story began on a note that was a bit harsh and negative, but soon I was able to "get into" it. All in all, this was an interesting historical read that I would recommend.… (altro)
