I couldnt read it from start to finish. I dabbed about and read sections.
This is a very accessible book; you often feel the author is desperately trying to fill her allotted pages with the several quizzes and the utterly unnecessary...a description on an experiment where subjects had to find a creative use for paper cups is helpfully illustrated with a Shutterstock image of paper cups. A discussion on keeping kids engaged gets two lists of 'the most popular activities among kids'. Does that have a bearing on the subject in hand? An interview with a supposedly boring man (an 'anorak' into postbox spotting) gets a helpful follow-up with a list of boring 'special interest' groups you might like to join (Pylon Appreciation Society- including website address...and several more.)
There are bits that are mildly interesting; much that would be better suited to an article in a women's magazine than a supposedly thought-provoking work.
All a bit of a waste of time.
