Not as cute or endearing as the first book in the series. I didn't love these characters as much as I did Kate and Dominic. It was a very unlikely romance between Cruz and Payton and they just didn't convince me they were ready for a happily ever after. They had a tough challenge ahead of them figuring things out and I didn't see that happen. Nevertheless, there were cute moments between the two and this was a fairly enjoyable read. But also kind of annoying and frustrating at times.

Totally predictable. But also totally sweet. I really enjoyed this and read it in one sitting. I liked both Kate and Dominic quite a bit. They had a cute, believable love story that I didn't want to put down.

Henry and Benny are fun. Some of the scenarios border on absurd but that adds to the charm of the romance. Benny at first meeting comes across uptight, stressed and high maintenance. In reality she's more down to earth. After devoting a great deal of time to her career, she just wants a chance to relax. She dreams of a life that is less lonely and separate from her work. One of the reason's Henry gets under her skin is he has the freedom that she longs for. Lots of parties, not bogged down with countless responsibilities and he's not bad on the eyes either. From the outside looking in he's living the dream. Looks can be deceiving. The Playboy's Proposal is more light hearted comedy than dramatic fanfare but it does hint at a little sexy along the way.

Her Backup Boyfriend by: Ashlee Mallory

Enjoyable read. To save face Kate told a little white lie that snowballed. Can Dominic help her turn that lie into a happily ever after? Loved the story and discovered a new author along the way.

The kids are older. The parents are somewhat wiser and emotions run deeper. Her Surprise Engagement is about starting over when happily ever after doesn't work out as planned. The kids are precocious and the romance borders more on sweet than heat, but Ashlee Mallory uses that to her advantage. Not only do Daisy and Jack gain a second chance at love, but along the way they learn the true meaning of family.

Ashlee Mallory's Her Accidental Husband brought so much joy into my heart. This couple did everything backwards. Their interactions with each other was hilarious one minute and tension filled the next. Falling in love the way it should be. Received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

The story was good in and of itself, but when I find myself correcting mistakes as I read rather than getting lost in the story, you know something's not quite right. I'll leave my review at that.

Daisy Sorensen is used to being the only one she can rely on. After putting 120% into her marriage & having everything crash in on her during the divorce, she's pulled away from everyone to become more independent. After all, it's a sign of weakness to allow others to help, right? Just take this vacation she couldn't afford for example. She's having to pick up the slack after her ex bailed in the Disney trip he'd promised the kids.

Jack & Lily's lives have been in disarray since his wife, & Lily's mother, passed away. His political career has been on a fast track but his personal life is a disaster. He hasn't been willing to get involved with anyone. He's planned an impromptu vacation in order to break the news to Lily that there's going to be another change & it means even less of a private life. He's about to be declared the interim governor.

What happens when a single father politician & a single mother end up in the same vacation house at the same time? An error turns into a misunderstanding to a fake relationship to ?? Jack & Daisy are great characters! They both need to learn that not everything can be controlled. Daisy needs to learn to trust again. Jack needs to realize that he didn't fail his wife but that he was doing exactly what she needed him to do. In both cases, it's easy to say the words but harder for it to become reality. The kids, Daisy's aunt & the dog all add comedy, intensity & dimension to the story. This is a really sweet romance with chemistry & plot twists that keep you reading.

Let me begin by saying that the overall plot of the book is excellent. I just love Dominic. He sounds absolutely charming, adorable, sexy, cute, etc. Kate is very well pulled-together. She has a level head on her shoulders.

As for Michael, can I just say that I love the fact Dominic gave him a much-needed punch in the face?
That was long overdue. Michael is a 5-star jerk. He might have all the money, looks, charm, etc. But that boy has no heart.

What I don't like: language, sexual references/sex scenes (although this is more towards the end of the novel). I felt that the story line was strong enough that this part was overkill.

I. LOVED. This. Book!! I'm not even sure why I love it so much. But, isn't that the sign of a great story. It just made me happy and stays with me. Yes, there is great writing and Payton and Cruz were incredible characters yet it was the entirety of the book that sucked me in and had me glued to the pages with a silly smile on my face. This one has an unexpected road trip, a little white lie, and a whole lot of tequila! Always a combination for disaster. In the case of Payton and Cruz, it may be the best worst thing that ever happened to them!!

This is one I definitely recommend.

Very entertaining read! A great storyline that years later, reunites the high school mean girl with the school geek who took the brunt of her abuse. Now she really needs help and he's not that puny geek anymore. Although she still has those mean girl tendencies, he agrees to help her when her daughter goes missing. There are lots of twists and turns in the story and I found it thoroughly enjoyable. I definitely recommend this one.

Loved! This! Book! It's a great fake boyfriend story that kept me mesmerized. This author has a wonderful fluid writing style that really appeals to me. The characters are well developed and intriguing. Definitely one for the must read list!

Kate is getting pressure at work to settle down. Dominic is getting pressure from his family to get back out there. Just a little white lie could solve both their problems, or perhaps start new ones??

Get this one! I highly recommend it!
