Delivers more than it promises with "A Further Hundred" and additional reading at every turn. I doubt that most Canadians, let alone Americans, realize how much of "English" literature was and is produced by Scots, which makes this book surprising and enlightening. Besides, lists of "best" books are always fun to read.

This slim little book of some 80 pages,gives the outlines of a good selection of Scottish Books with excellent potted descriptions of plots ect.
