Jerome is alpha of a mixed pack of shifters. He is trying to share his ideas with the council to help protect the packs and keep them alive. He has not had much success but is going to a conference to put his ideas out again. This time there is an endorsement of his ideas. Unfortunately Jerome has to leave the conference to get home because of an emergency.

I enjoyed this book. The world building is good and is set down for the series. The story was quick and seemed rushed at times. I would have liked to see a little more fleshing out of the story in middle and end.

The characters were great. I liked Jerome and the bit of his history that we got. I liked Mack and his mom, Suzanne. I would like to know more of their story. Leo was cool--a curmudgeon but with a heart of gold. The others were interesting and I would like to know more about as well as the vampires and witches.

I hope to be able to find copies of the rest of the series.… (altro)

Great read!

Wow talk about a roller coaster ride. A young woman suddenly learns on her 25th birthday she will learn much that had been hidden from her. Dreams leading up to that day cause her confusion. She keeps traveling to the Scotland of old. Scared she's losing her mind, she's relieved upon learning she's actually from the past. Her parents placed her in the future with adoptive parents in the hopes of keeping her safe. On her 25th year she learns what and who she really is, her destiny, and possibilities of her power. A magical tattoo appears on her, and certain powers begin to emerge. Once in the past she makes dear friends, and catches the eye of a certain laird. Mystery and magical intrigue commence. It was a fun read, and I look forward to the next in this series.… (altro)

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I am torn about this book. As much as I enjoyed it I had some problems too. Who doesn't believe in destiny? I loved the premise of the book and the traveling back and forth in time and especially loved Todd who somehow just ends up being left behind as Jamie goes on to fulfill her Destiny. By the end of the book I had laughed often out right and really enjoyed myself. I just hope there is more definition and development of the characters they seem like such an interesting blend. I can't wait to see what happens as the series continues.… (altro)
