Gillian M. Lupton

As an introduction to sociology and feminism, I feel like this book did the job. The style is light enough that it's readable without getting too bogged down in any given subject. I found the book quite broadening as it covers a lot of topics. It is a little bit stuck in 1992 though, notably lacking two big subjects: the internet and religion.
