If you rate a naturalist's book on how many interesting nature anecdotes they disclose, this is the motherlode. The title tells you Loveridge loved what he did, but it doesn't begin to show you how much he did of it! His experiences with snakes alone far surpass those of the more famous herpetologists. I feel like this author wanted to give his readers their moneysworth and he really delivers! No wasted filler in this book. I highly recommend.
