A story that held my interest throughout the book. The characters were vivid, the world well developed and lots of action. Some graphic violence but part of war. A human with no memory becomes part of a group trying to win a war against goblins, trolls and assorted bad humans. The elves and dwarves are being driven from the land or killed to cleanse it for humans only. Lots of magic, good and bad.
The bad part was the lack of connection between passages, the large number of characters and places to remember, and missing words, extra words and simply the wrong word. Many times you needed to reread parts to find out who a character was supposed to be.
With good editing this would be a 4 star book.
