God this was so good. Pirate Captain Kate Pryde of The Marauders is far and away a perfect representation of everything I love about this character. It's so on brand for her.

Like, literally, issue #1 of this series - on its own - had more amazing Kate Pryde moments than the ENTIRE RUN OF X-MEN: GOLD. Just. Night and day.

Sorry but I am just not a fan of graphic novels. I find them very difficult to read as my mind just skips through to all the text and completely bypasses the graphics so then I have no idea what has just happened. I admire those who read these with ease. It's movies for me when I want my Marvel or DC fix.

Hawkeyes and Deadpool goes very well together.

But damn... A few panels truly broke my heart...

Read as issues.
This is my favourite of the post HOX/POX titles.
It's more fun than the rest. And well drawn.
My only complaint. Not enough Bobby - cone on, he's an omega level mutant. Use him.

I checked this book out on impulse, and had nearly decided to return it to the library unread when my eleven-year-old asked if he could read it. Given the reputation of Deadpool comics, I thought maybe I should read it first, just in case.

Overall I was pretty underwhelmed. Maybe because it was some giant crossover book with tons of characters who were clearly supposed to mean something to me, but just didn't. But I don't think it was only that, because I didn't even like Clint & Kate as much here as I've like them elsewhere.

A big solid "meh," from me. But I guess at least it wasn't inappropriate for my eleven-year-old?

I hate that thing people sometimes say that they're "slumming" when they go to bed with someone who's felt to be less desirable, unattractive or attractive but déclassé or "trashy," or too dumb or whatever--like, what a horrible way to relate to your fellow beings--so I guess reading "Hawkeye and Daredevil" is as close as I'm ever going to get to knowing what it feels like to be "slumming."½

Kate Bishop and Deadpool is a great combination. (Clint and Deadpool, alas, not quite so much.)

“Don’t you just hate chases where you can’t just shoot the people you’re chasing!?”

This is completely NOT a “vs.” comic, but I couldn’t help but love it despite being fooled by the title. By the cover and the blurb the reader expects and full out brawl between our Marvel archer and undying anti-hero, but in reality it’s a bunch of (hilarious) bickering and Deadpool stepping in to save a brainwashed Hawkeye.

Putting that bit aside, Duggan borrowed Matt Fraction’s Clint Barton and Kate Bishop- which works just fine to keep the Marvel ‘verses together. Deadpool even gets confused when Hawkeye’s dog gets his standard panels. The three battle against Black Cat who stole confidential information- not a very thick plot- but I think this comic centers more or less around the comedy aspect as Hawkeye and Deadpool are making snark comments about Black Cat and Spiderman throughout (*snicker*), and Deadpool eventually ends up in the classic Hawkeye costume.

Overall, Hawkeye vs Deadpool is an amusing addition to the Marvel universe that fans are bound to enjoy.
