This book was about a single parent explaining to their child where there father is. I liked how the mom was honest as she answered all her sons questions. I noticed that the son didn't ask all the questions he had all at once. He would ask some questions and then the next day he would ask more. The mom had a lot of patience and she didn't try to discourage him from asking questions. The back of the book had a section for single parents and how to help their child understand the why's and how's and where's.

Then the main character starts to wonder whether or not that is true. He goes to his mother and asks her many questions, do I have a dad, why doesn't he see me? She lets him know that she is not really sure why he left, but that it was not because of him and talks about his other important male family role models.
