This set of poems documents the young author’s life in a drug- and violence-filled world. Born to a mother using both meth and crack and a father who was also a user and a dealer, he was an adult before he was finally able to overcome addiction. Your heart will go out to this kid. The poems contain a few rough gems, but overall need some work. With some maturity, a few of these could be good, and I applaud his efforts in his life and his writing.
