Sure it was mindless. Sure it was mostly fan art and reflect on crucial parts of the series. But still, it was a book, I read it cover to cover, and I am reminded why Schitt's Creek is one of my favorite TV shows.

On to rewatch #3!

Quintessential book for Schitt’s Creek fans. It’s filled with all kinds of behind the scene information, graphics, photos, and stories. I read the Kindle version, but to really get the most out of this book, the print version is probably a must.

A great big coffee table book of the creation, casting, writing and characters of Schitt's Creek. Each of the regular cast has a page explaining how they began working on the show and what they think of their character. Every episode is summarized, and the most popular scenes are explored. That means The Crowening, the romance of David and Patrick, and pages of David's complete knit collection and Moira's ensembles. A must for a fan of the show.

I must admit that I didn't like Schitt's Creek straight away. It took me a couple of episodes to warm to it. When I read through this tribute book I realised how much I enjoyed the show and its inclusive and entertaining storylines. This book contains an episode by episode guide, interviews with the cast and crew and most importantly, a fashion guide highlighting Moira's outfits and wigs and David's knit collection. One for the fans.½

2021 movie #158. 2003. Mockumentary about those great bands from the '60s folk revival, like The Folksmen, The New Main Street Singers and Mitch and Mickey. Pretty entertaining and funny but with a love of the subject matter.

People from around the country enter a dog show.

2.5/4 (Okay).

Christopher Guest movies feel mean-spirited to me, even though the people we're supposed to be laughing at are fictional. I just don't find People That Are Easy To Ridicule to be funny. There are some good bits, though - mostly with Fred Willard.

A Mighty Wind makes me laugh every time I watch it and it must be watched. Part of what makes me laugh is the perfectly normal sounding part of the "documentary" juxtaposed with something wince-worthy. This was actually my introduction to the mockumentary genre and I fell in love with it.

I think part of the movie's attraction is its attention to detail. The album covers featured look like they were created during the appropriate time period. Even the songs and musical styles sound right. (Yes, I bought the CD and the songs blend easily into my other folk music songs.)

I also loved the extras. The deleted scenes are funny, but the jewels are the TV episodes and the PBN recording. They are spot on. Do take the time to watch them.

If you like folk music and have a sense of humor about it or if you enjoy good comedy, I think you'll like the movie.
