The great thing about this book is that the quilts are real quilts from the past. The earliest are from the 1880s (if I recall correctly) and there are some, including a delightful political pair of elephant and donkey, as late as the 1930s. Directions and patterns for making each of the quilts are included. I would have liked more information on the provenance of the quilts, but perhaps they didn't have that information. The introduction on the importance and rarity of small quilts was outstanding.… (altro)
