But it’s too many topics, and to me it seemed like the book was a series of long intellectual discussions between the characters about this or this issue, and frankly it gets boring after a while. A thing that disappointed me was that, to be written from the prospective of an italian immigrant, there’s not a lot of italy. Or italian culture. Or italian anything really, except for some comments here and there. Another thing: The male protagonist suffers from bursts of anger and he's a step away from domestic abuse, but he's "charming and handsome and remember that he loves you, Stella!"
