I grew up on the WI side of the border, within an hour of the Twin Cities (so newspapers and TV came from there).  This book almost does MN justice, but even though many letters are represented by more than one icon, there's a lot left out.  For example, there's only one brief mention of Native Americans" and that's just totally off-kilter in re' the influence of the first peoples and their influence on the history and culture of the state.  Also, I personally found the pix very unappealing; somehow they look smeary, as if they were done in chalk in a steambath or something."… (altro)
